By downloading, installing, or using WC Finder (the 'App') or accessing the associated website and backend services (collectively, the 'Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ('Terms'). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of WC Finder ('WC Finder', 'we', 'us', or 'our'). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account or use the Service, in accordance with Article 8 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
To submit toilet listings, write reviews, or make purchases, you must register an account. You agree to:
• Provide a valid, unique email address and username;
• Verify your email address via the confirmation link we send;
• Keep your password secure — passwords must be at least 6 characters and include a letter, a number, and a special character;
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account;
• Accept sole responsibility for all activity under your credentials.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe have been compromised.
Registered users may submit public toilet locations, including name, GPS coordinates, address, description, opening hours, price information, payment options, features, location type, and photographs of the exterior and interior. By submitting a listing you confirm that:
• The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
• Any photographs are your own work or you hold the right to share them;
• The listing does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights.
You retain copyright in any original photographs you upload. By submitting them, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute them within the Service.
You may only edit or delete listings that you originally submitted. We may remove any listing at our discretion.
You may submit a single star-rating and optional comment per toilet location. Reviews must be honest and must not contain offensive, defamatory, or misleading content. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these requirements.
You must not submit content that:
• Is false, misleading, or fraudulent;
• Infringes any intellectual property or privacy rights;
• Contains spam, advertisements, or malware;
• Violates any applicable law or regulation.
Users may purchase the 'Remove Ads' feature for a one-time fee (currently €1.99, subject to change). This is a permanent, non-subscription purchase that suppresses all banner and interstitial advertisements for the purchasing account. You will be redirected to Stripe Checkout to complete the payment.
Once the payment is confirmed by Stripe and the webhook is received by our servers, the 'ads removed' flag is permanently set on your account. This entitlement is tied to your account and is non-transferable.
Users may optionally support WC Finder with a voluntary donation of any amount (minimum €1.00). Donations are processed via Stripe Checkout. No goods or services are provided in exchange. Donations are not refundable.
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By making a payment you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com. We do not store or have access to your full payment card details.
The `Remove Ads` purchase is generally non-refundable once the entitlement has been applied to your account. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us within 14 days at the address in Section 12. Voluntary donations are non-refundable.
Prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any applicable taxes in your jurisdiction.
The free version of WC Finder displays advertisements served via Google AdMob (mobile) and Google AdSense (web). Advertisements are suppressed for users who have purchased the `Remove Ads` feature.
We do not control the content of third-party advertisements. Google`s advertising practices are governed by Google`s own policies. By using the free version of the Service you consent to the display of these advertisements.
Interstitial (full-screen) advertisements are subject to frequency and session limits and will not be shown more than twice per session or more than once per minute.
The WC Finder name, logo, application code, and all original content created by us are our exclusive property or are licensed to us. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or other proprietary materials.
Map data is provided by react-native-maps. Reverse geocoding is provided by the Nominatim service operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, subject to their Acceptable Use Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED `AS IS` WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of toilet listings, which are submitted by community members. Always verify accessibility and opening times on-site.
We are not responsible for any third-party services including Stripe, Google AdMob, Google AdSense, Nominatim, or email delivery services.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (i) the amount you paid to us in the twelve months prior to the claim, or (ii) €10.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or rights under mandatory consumer protection laws.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the national laws of the member state in which WC Finder is registered. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that member state.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
